Jameson Dublin International Film Festival Launch 2012

So, the gang are back in the office today under protest, as we all managed to wander down to the launch of the ever-excellent Jameson Dublin International Film Festival last night. The event was held in the newly re-opened Light House Cinema in Smithfield, and the place looked stunning, decked out with red carpet and green lighting. Decor aside, the place was jumping, and if it continues to host events like this, it’s new incarnation is sure to be an extremely welcome addition to the nightlife in town.

The festival itself in its tenth year and they’re really pulling out all the stops for this one, including a visit from none other than ‘him off of the Godfather’, Al Pacino himself, who’ll be showing his new project ‘Wilde Salomé’. There’s also an impressive slate of homegrown material that’s sure to prove a hit with audiences. Jameson were, as ever, generous hosts, so the phones are on silent in here, and everybody’s whispering. We’re here though, so feel free to drop us a line and let us know how you’re getting on. Quietly.
